The Rural Way

Build the Business,

Make the Money,

Stop Doing it Alone

This is for you if:

  • You’re building a business in a rural community and feel so frustrated doing it alone
  • You know you want to make more money, but you are in your head second-guessing everything
  • You take on more than you should – in business, life, and family. Everyone say’s, I don’t know how you do it.
  • You know you’re not living in your full potential, and you don’t know what’s holding you back
  • You always feel like the outlier, struggling to find connection.

How is The Rural Way Podcast different?

Most podcasts talking about rural living focus on farming, ranching, and homesteading. Nobody talks about what it’s like to be a business owner and entrepreneur on main street or on-line with very different business needs and conversations.

Conversations about rural and small town living usually happen based on traditional approaches to money and business success. Rural communities know what it’s like to struggle and always get treated like the underdog. The Rural Way has honest conversations about what it’s like to break free from the old constraints and blaze a trail and disrupt status quo while staying grounded to traditional aspects of rural life.

Why did I change to The Rural Way?

This podcast used to be known as ‘The Grit and Grace with Tracy’ Podcast. It has been around since 2018. One day I had the knowing, it had to change.

When I moved back to small town and said yes to living on a farm knowing I was going to have to navigate business differently, I didn’t expect to face the challenges I had to. One day a fellow male consultant listened to a conversation I was having with another female colleague as we talked about driving back home after the meeting and dealing with all of the other ‘hats’ we wore with kids at home. He said something I have never forgotten. He said, every small town is filled with educated experienced women, and moving to small town is where all of their dreams go to die.

That was about 15 years ago, and it has stuck with me.

While I have kept my consulting business alive for 23 years, I have watched one woman after another give up their business dreams because they had a lack of support and questioned everything. It was easier to just fit into the normal than be a disrupter.

This is the rural business and leadership hub that frees every business owner to go after bigger dreams, stop playing small, and step into their brilliance.

This is THE RURAL WAY podcast, and you have found your tribe.
